Estonia won for the second match in succession to move level at the top of Group 2 in qualifying for the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.

Ivanishvili miss
Frank Bernhardt's side had opened their campaign with a surprise 1-0 win against Switzerland last month and impressed again in Tallinn where goals from Sergei Mošnikov and substitute Henri Anier late in each half took them level on six points with Turkey and the Swiss at the top of the section. Estonia adopted a defensive approach, looking to attack on the break and Georgia seized the early initiative. Their best chance fell to Giorgi Ivanishvili who raced clear on 18 minutes, but shot wide with only goalkeeper Stanislav Pedõk to beat. Estonia were restricted to long balls, leaving Kaimar Saag an isolated figure up front.

Anier solo
Georgia continued to press and defender Lasha Totadze crashed a shot off the bar from a free-kick, but against the run of play Estonia took the lead on 42 minutes. Saag's defence-splitting pass put Mošnikov through on goal and he calmly shot past Revaz Tevdoradze. Estonia looked increasingly dangerous after the break and finally made the game safe in the final minute when Anier completed a fine solo run, firing in from the edge of the area.
