Two-time UEFA Women's Cup winners Umeå IK are into their seventh European semi-final in eight campaigns after a dramatic finish at Montpellier Hérault SC.

After a goalless first leg in Sweden, Montpellier seemed to have taken control in the second half and led 2-0 with just four minutes left, but substitute Emma Åberg Zingmark pulled one back and in added time Sofia Jakobsson took Umeå into a two-legged April encounter with Montpellier's compatriots Olympique Lyonnais.

Thing seemed to be going Montpellier's way when Ludivine Diguelman opened the scoring on 54 minutes with a free-kick. In the 76th minute, Mélissa Plaza doubled their advantage with a deflected shot from 30 metres out but the game changed when Zingmark headed in a corner. Still Umeå needed another goal and it arrived from Jakobsson as she broke into the area and finished with her left foot.
