FCF Juvisy Essonne came from behind to consign Göteborg FC to a 3-1 quarter-final second-leg defeat and confirm their place in the last four of the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Trailing 1-0 from last week's first leg in France, the pendulum swung in favour of the Swedish team when Yael Averbuch broke the deadlock 20 minutes into the second period. Juvisy left it late to wrestle back the initiative with Camille Catala's quickfire double and a third from Janice Cayman sowing the seeds for an expected semi-final showdown with French rivals Olympique Lyonnais on 13/14 and 20/21 April.

After a subdued first half, the contest burst into life when Averbuch sent a venomous shot past visiting goalkeeper Iryna Zvarych, before Olivia Schough was denied at point-blank range. Sandrine Mathivet's visitors responded with intent, yet Julie Machart failed to convert when one-on-one with Kristin Hammarström.

Unperturbed, Juvisy's Catala made no mistake 13 minutes from time, sliding in as Göteborg's concentration flickered. The 21-year-old striker was on target again nine minutes later, finishing tidily from Machart's pass, before Cayman added the final flourish in added time. After a second straight quarter-final exit, Göteborg will not be in Europe next season after finishing outside the top two in Sweden last year.
