Karen Espelund, UEFA Executive Committee member and UEFA Women's Football Committee chairwoman, said: "The UEFA Women's Champions League final is the pinnacle of European women's club football and the final is the culmination of the women's club football season. The final will take place on a public holiday with an early kick-off time of 18.00CET, as we hope that families with children will attend the game."
The 2015 UEFA Women's Champions League final ambassador, Steffi Jones, added: "It's great to welcome the UEFA Women's Champions League final back to Germany after a fantastic final in Munich in 2012. Surely it will help to further promote women's and girls' football and to encourage girls to play everywhere."
