UEFA Women's Champions League holders VfL Wolfsburg face a battle to reach the semi-finals of this year's competition after being held to a 1-1 first-leg draw at home by FC Rosengård, while Paris Saint-Germain and Brøndby IF both recorded away victories.

All of today's quarter-final ties conclude on Saturday. A day later, 1. FFC Frankfurt welcome Bristol Academy WFC after winning 5-0 at Ashton Gate yesterday.

VfL Wolfsburg 1-1 FC Rosengård
Looking to win the competition for a third consecutive season, Wolfsburg controlled possession against a Rosengård team content to wait for counterattacking chances. The home side's Caroline Hansen missed a good opportunity to score, as did the visitors' German forward Anja Mittag, before Marta pounced on a Mittag assist to open the scoring on 56 minutes. Wolfsburg's Verena Faisst levelled from distance ten minutes later, but a red card for Hansen hampered her team's hopes of building a first-leg lead.

Glasgow City FC 0-2 Paris Saint-Germain
Paris enjoyed the upper hand in Scotland and deservedly went ahead after 19 minutes when Laure Boulleau's cross from the left found Anissa Lahmari, who tapped it in from close range. Glasgow goalkeeper Lee Alexander did well to deny Marie-Laure Delie moments later, but Paris would not be denied a second effort – and they got it eight minutes after the restart when Delie set up Kheira Hamraoui to place a shot into the corner of the goal.

Linköpings FC 0-1 Brøndby IF
It is advantage Brøndby at the halfway stage of this all-Scandinavian tie after the Danish leaders came out on top in Sweden. A tight game at the Linköping Arena was decided on 14 minutes when unfortunate Sweden defender Charlotte Rohlin put the ball through her own net, leaving the hosts with an uphill task in the suburbs of Copenhagen on Saturday.
