Boquete inspiring new generation with Frankfurt

One of UEFA's first ambassadors for women's football, 1. FFC Frankfurt's Verónica Boquete, set an example for future stars in the UEFA Women's Champions League final.

It is quite fitting that, in the first UEFA Women's Champions League final since the appointment of UEFA ambassadors for women's football development, each finalist boasted a figurehead for the future of the game.

Laura Georges (Paris Saint-Germain) and Verónica Boquete (1. FFC Frankfurt) both earned qualification for the Berlin showpiece with their clubs, giving a message of inspiration to female players of the future as to what can be done in the game with hard work.
