European ambitions
"Four championships in a row is probably one of the best things one can hope for," said sporting director Gert Andersen after the triumph on Sunday that saw Brøndby take the league title by five points. "Now we are looking forward to once again competing with Europe's best club teams in the UEFA Women's Cup."
Hjørring slump
Fortuna Hjørring had a theoretical chance of taking the crown on the final day, having led the table for much of the season, but after losing control of the title race with a 2-1 home defeat against Brøndby on 1 June, their shaky form continued as they lost 2-1 at third-placed Skovlunde IF - who finished the season 13 points behind them.
