VfL Wolfsburg will face Tyresö FF in the 22 May UEFA Women's Champions League final in Lisbon after twice rallying from behind to beat 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam 4-2.

Julia Simic and Genoveva Añonma had struck either side of Nadine Kessler's 17th-minute equaliser to put Potsdam in the ascendancy after the sides' first-leg stalemate. The holders came roaring back, however, Alexandra Popp's quickfire double turning the tables before a 10,791-strong crowd paused for breath. Any nerves they harboured were settled ten minutes from time courtesy of Martina Müller as Wolfsburg advanced to their second consecutive showpiece, where they meet Tyresö FF in Lisbon on 22 May.

Such cold facts only tell half the story of a dramatic game that burst into life when Ann-Katrin Berger denied Wolfsburg defender Verena Faisst. Simic then kept her cool at the other end, curling a shot into the top corner, only for Kessler to restore parity in style.

Things got worse for Potsdam when Lisa Evans was forced off through injury, but their anguish was short-lived as Añonma capitalised on a mistake from Almuth Schult to score. A breathless half continued with Popp heading in Kessler's fine cross, and better was to come for the hosts as the No11 struck again four minutes before the interval.

Potsdam left holes at the back in their quest for a second-half equaliser, allowing Faisst another chance to score, yet Berger was her equal. There was nothing the visiting goalkeeper could do to keep out Müller, however, as the German poacher, who settled last year's final, finished with aplomb after latching onto Lena Goessling's corner.
