Wigan & Leigh Fan Festival
Mark your calendar this summer for the UEFA Women’s EURO Fan Festival.
Coming to the streets of Wigan & Leigh in July, expect a celebration of art, heritage, music and of course, football!
The Fan Festival offers a host of family-friendly activities, with something for everyone, whether you are a diehard football fan or looking to enjoy your first tournament. Think community events, arts and heritage programmes, live performances, coaching clinics and much more.
At the heart of the festivities is the Fan Party – read on below to see the exciting activities taking place around Leigh town centre.

Wigan & Leigh Fan Party
Celebrate UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 at the Fan Party in Leigh town centre. Civic Square will welcome fans and friends of all ages, from home and abroad, to be a part of the biggest ever European women’s sporting event.

Civic Square, Leigh town centre and the surrounding area, including Leigh library, Turnpike Gallery, Leigh town hall and St Mary’s church.
🚍 Leigh bus station is the closest public transport stop to the Fan Party – just a 5-minute walk from Civic Square.

- Non-ticketed, so you can come along as many times as you like
- The Fan Party is a neutral site, so expect to meet fans and supporters of all teams

- Drinks and food of various cuisines, so come hungry!
FAQs
Food options include fish and chips, burgers, pizza plus ice cream. Drinks will also be available to purchase on site, including alcohol from a licensed bar.
Card payments or cash will be accepted on site.
Small bags and personal belongings will be allowed with bag checks made prior to entry. You will be responsible for any possessions you take to the Fan Party.
Items deemed unsafe or illegal will not be allowed on site. In addition, glass and alcohol will not be allowed to be taken into the site.
Parking is not available on site, but Pennington Flash, Leigh Miners and Spinning Gate car parks are all less than 15 minutes' walk away.
Limited disabled parking is provided opposite the site at Market Place Leigh.
