Germany will be hoping for a full recovery from Fatmire Bajramaj after the 1. FFC Frankfurt playmaker was ruled out for six months with torn cruciate knee ligaments.

The 24-year-old suffered the injury moments after scoring her side's late winner in Sunday's 2-1 Frauen Bundesliga victory at former club 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam. Bajramaj underwent surgery on Sunday in Frankfurt and now faces a race to prove her fitness for holders Germany ahead of UEFA Women's EURO 2013 in July.

"Fatmire Bajramaj's serious injury is a big shock for her and of course all of us," said Frankfurt general manager Siegfried Dietrich. "We wish 'Lira' all the best, a quick recovery and hope that she will make her comeback in an FFC jersey in spring 2013 at the latest."
