Dorcioman appointed to referee final

Romanian referee Cristina Dorcioman has been chosen to take charge of Sunday's Solna final between Germany and Norway, assisted by Sian Massey and María Luisa Villa Gutiérrez.

The UEFA Referees Committee has announced the referee for Sunday's UEFA Women's EURO 2013 final between Germany and Norway at Friends Arena in Solna, Sweden (16.00CET kick-off).

The match will be handled by 39-year-old Romanian official Cristina Dorcioman who has been an international referee since 2002 and has officiated in a total of 62 UEFA fixtures in her career. During the Women’s EURO in Sweden, Dorcioman has taken charge of two group stage matches: Netherlands vs Iceland (0-1) in Vaxjo and Finland vs Sweden (0-5) in Gothenburg. Last season, she also refereed three UEFA Women’s Champions League matches, including the quarter-final between VfL Wolfsburg and WFC Rossiyanka (2-1) in Germany.

At the final in Solna, Dorcioman will be assisted by Sian Massey (England) and María Luisa Villa Gutiérrez (Spain), with the fourth official being Kirsi Heikkinen from Finland. A Czech reserve assistant referee – Lucie Ratajova – completes the line up of the refereeing team.
