The first UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship final tournament will be held at the Colovray Stadium in Nyon, Switzerland.
May dates
Located opposite UEFA headquarters, the venue will stage the semi-finals on Tuesday 20 May and the third-place match and final three days later. The Colovray Stadium previously staged the 2004 men's U19 final, marking UEFA's golden jubilee. Due to exceptional circumstances, this is the first time the UEFA administration has acted as a final tournament host, and the top three finishers will qualify for the inaugural FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in New Zealand from 28 October to 16 November.
Qualifiers
Sixteen of the original 40 entrants are still in the running to reach the finals, and will compete in four second qualifying round mini-tournaments. Group 2 is the first to take place, with hosts France, Scotland, Norway and the Republic of Ireland all involved, between 18 and 23 March. Later that month Finland, Iceland and Russia will travel to Denmark while the Czech Republic welcome England, the Netherlands and Belgium. Switzerland will also aim to earn a finals appearance on home soil when they visit Germany for Group 3 which also includes Sweden and Poland from 10 to 15 April.
