Past UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship winners Germany and Spain will be joined by Iceland and Switzerland as top seeds for the second qualifying round draw at 12.00CET on Tuesday.

The four groups drawn will contain one team from each of the four seeding pots, based on coefficients from first qualifying round results. The draw will be made in UEFA's home town and the finals venue of Nyon, with Switzerland hoping to compete in the showpiece on home soil for the first time.

Iceland are also yet to make the final four, while Germany – given a bye to this round – won the inaugural editions of this tournament in 2008 and 2009 with Spain taking the title last summer.

After the draw one team from each group will be appointed as mini-tournament hosts for the matches to be played by mid-April. In the semi-finals at the Colovray Stadium on 28 July the winners of second qualifying round Groups 1 and 2 will meet, as will the winners of Groups 3 and 4. The final and third-place play-off are scheduled for 31 July.
