The UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship runs next week in Nyon and several well-known Swiss footballing figures will be in town.
On Tuesday the semi-finals are played at the Colovray Stadium, opposite UEFA headquarters, with Switzerland meeting France at 11.00CET and Denmark against Germany four hours later. Three days later the third-place match (11.00CET) and final (14.30CET) are played, and both days will be turned into a festive family occasion.
The events include ambassador autograph signings, technical sessions organised in cooperation with the cantonal football associations of Geneva (ACGF) and Vaud (ACVF), an adidas XXL Human Football Table Tool and a live DJ from Rouge FM who, as official sponsors of the final tournament, will be playing music and broadcasting live from the stadium. Entrance is free of charge.
Special guest on Tuesday will be former Switzerland goalkeeper Pascal Zuberbühler, who will be signing autographs from 14.30 up to the start of the second semi-final. Three days later tournament ambassador Ramona Bachmann will do similarly from 14.00.
Both will also assist with the technical sessions, and also present on Tuesday will be Swiss women's internationals Marie-Andrea Egli, Rahel Graf and Martina Moser. The attending school classes from Geneva on Tuesday and Vaud on Friday will also have a guided tour of the UEFA headquarters with a presentation, quizzes and a chance to have their photo taken with prestigious UEFA competition cups, such as the UEFA Champions League trophy.
