The UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship round 2 draw has set the groups for both leagues, with the games due to take place in spring 2026.
The draw was made by Halla Ejdesgaard, captain of the Faroe Islands at the 2025 final tournament, who received the Respect Fair Play trophy on behalf of her team.
2025/26 Women's U17 EURO round 2 draw: League A
Group A1: Denmark, Germany, Republic of Ireland, Sweden
Group A2: England, Italy, Croatia, Türkiye
Group A3: Finland, Czechia, Romania, Latvia
Group A4: France, Austria, Serbia, Iceland
Group A5: Switzerland, Norway, Scotland, Greece
Group A6: Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Kosovo
Group A7: Netherlands (holders), Poland, Slovakia, Wales
Mini-tournament dates/hosts tbc
Group winners qualify for the final tournament in Northern Ireland, joining the hosts.
The seven teams placed fourth in their group in League A will be relegated to League B for round 1 of the next edition.

Group B1: Belarus, Lithuania, Malta, Estonia
Group B2: North Macedonia, Northern Ireland (finals hosts), Luxembourg, Georgia

Group B4: Montenegro, Kazakhstan, Moldova

The six group winners and the best runner-up from League B will be promoted to League A for round 1 of the next edition.
The teams are split into two leagues as defined by round 1, and the groups will be played as one-venue mini-tournaments in the spring, with the hosts appointed after the draw. Northern Ireland will take part even though their finals place is assured.
League A will determine which teams join Northern Ireland in the finals from 4 to 17 May 2026, the draw for which will be held on 25 March 2026. Promotion and relegation will also be at stake between the leagues ahead of round 1 of the 2026/27 edition.
The tournament also acts as UEFA's qualifying event for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Morocco.

49 UEFA member associations are participating in the competition, which is split into two rounds (round 1 and round 2).
Round 1 took place between September and early December 2025. At the end of round 1, the fourth-placed teams in League A were relegated and the group winners plus the best runner-up in League B were promoted.
Pot allocation
League A
Based on the 2025/26 European Women's U17 round 1 results, the 28 teams allocated to League A were divided into four draw pots as follows:
Pot 1 (Ranked 1st to 7th): Finland, Denmark, Spain, England, France, Netherlands, Switzerland
Pot 2 (Ranked 8th to 14th): Czechia, Poland, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Austria, Norway
Pot 3 (Ranked 15th to 21st): Hungary, Republic of Ireland, Croatia, Slovakia, Romania, Serbia, Scotland
Pot 4 (Ranked 22nd to 28th): Sweden, Iceland, Türkiye, Latvia, Wales, Greece, Kosovo
League B
Based on the 2025/26 European Women's U17 round 1 results, the 21 teams allocated to League B were divided into four draw pots as follows:
Pot 1 (Ranked 29th to 34th): Ukraine, Belarus, Montenegro, Belgium, Andorra, North Macedonia
Pot 2 (Ranked 35th to 40th): Bulgaria, Northern Ireland, Slovenia, Lithuania, Israel, Kazakhstan
Pot 3 (Ranked 41st to 46th): Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Faroe Islands
Pot 4 (Ranked 47th to 49th): Georgia, Estonia, Azerbaijan
Draw conditions
The following draw conditions applied:
a) Prohibited team clashes
b) Three-team groups to four-team groups
When a draw condition occurred, the team drawn was allocated to the first available group in numerical order and another team drawn to complete the position left free. Should this have been possible when drawing the last groups, the teams would have been drawn and assigned to the groups.

The following "prohibited team clashes" as defined by the UEFA Executive Committee applied for the European Women's U17 round 2 draw:
Serbia (League A, Pot 3) and Kosovo (League A, Pot 4)
b) Three-team groups to four-team groups
Teams that played in three-team groups in League B round 1 to be drawn into four-team groups in League B in round 2:
Northern Ireland, Luxembourg (B4)
Lithuania, Malta (B5)
Slovenia, Faroe Islands (B6)
Draw procedure
League B
The 21 teams were drawn into three groups of four teams and three groups of three teams.
The draw started with League B Pot 1, which contained six balls. The drawn teams were assigned to the groups in ascending order from B1 to B6, except if a draw condition applied.
• A first ball was drawn and the team assigned to Group B1;
• A second ball was drawn and the team assigned to Group B2;
• A third ball was drawn and the team assigned to Group B3;
• A fourth ball was drawn and the team assigned to Group B4;
• A fifth ball was drawn and the team assigned to Group B5;
• The sixth ball was drawn and the team assigned to Group B6.
The draw continued with Pot 2 and Pot 3 and followed the same rules as described above for Pot 1.

• A second ball was drawn and the team assigned to Group A2;
• A third ball was drawn and the team assigned to Group A3;
• A fourth ball was drawn and the team assigned to Group A4;
• A fifth ball was drawn and the team assigned to Group A5;
• A sixth ball was drawn and the team assigned to Group A6;
• The seventh ball was drawn and the team assigned to Group A7.
The draw continued with Pot 2, Pot 3 and Pot 4 and followed the same rules as described above for Pot 1.
The seven League A group winners will qualify for the final tournament, which will take place as follows:

League and group formations for 2026/27 round 1
Teams are promoted and relegated for round 1 of the next edition of the competition based on the final group rankings from round 2. Final tournament matches are not taken into account.
