The 2009/10 UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship will be the first final tournament at any level to be held in F.Y.R. Macedonia and 45 nations are hoping to join the hosts as they await the first qualifying round draw at 17.30CET on 18 November in Nyon.

Draw
While top seeds Germany have a bye to the second qualifying round, the other 44 teams will be split into eleven groups of four by the draw, with each pool containing two sides apiece from the top-ranked Pot A and Pot B. The groups will be played as one-venue mini-tournaments from 19 to 24 September 2009, with the top two going through along with the third-placed team with the best record against the leading pair in their section.

Road to Belarus
Six groups of four will then be formed for the second qualifying round from 27 March to 1 April 2010, with the winners progressing to join hosts F.Y.R. Macedonia as well as the best runners-up. The finals will be held earlier than in the past, being scheduled to run from 24 May until 5 June.
