Glorious chance
Florin Cernat wasted a glorious chance to send Dynamo two points clear when he missed a penalty with three minutes left. Donetsk had earlier had Volodymyr Yaksmanytskyi sent off on the hour but, despite plenty of late pressure, the visitors failed to break through with Donetsk goalkeeper Andriy Nikitin making a string of fine saves.

The result means that the Kiev club lead Shakhtar on goal difference, while Donetsk remain eleven points behind the top two in fourth place.
