Montenegrin international Marko Baša has become LOSC Lille Métropole's second signing of the summer after agreeing to move from FC Lokomotiv Moskva on a five-year deal.

The 28-year-old centre-back returns to Ligue 1, where he spent four seasons at Le Mans FC between 2005/06 and 2008/09 serving coach Rudi Garcia, with whom he has been re-united at Lille. "I have been in talks with LOSC for a long time," said Baša. "The deal was done today and I'm happy to be here. I have joined an ambitious side and linked up with a coach who improved me in the past."

Baša, who has signed for a fee believed to be in the region of €1.5m, will fill the void left by Adil Rami's departure to Valencia CF.

After claiming their first French league title since 1953/53, Garcia's side, who also signed FC Nantes striker Ronny Rodelin earlier this month, will enter the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League at the group stage.
