Tümer Metin's 'golden goal' saw Besiktas JK book their place in the last four of the Turkish Cup.

A 'golden goal' from Tümer Metin saw Besiktas JK defeat Gaziantepspor 3-2 and book their place in the last four of the Turkish Cup.

Titanic tie
The Istanbul outfit squeezed through to the semi-finals after Tümer struck in the 99th minute of a titanic tie at the Kami Ocak stadium. The home side had taken the game to extra time when a last-gasp equaliser from Julio César levelled the scores at 2-2 in normal time.

Half-time lead
Ilhan Mansiz gave Besiktas a 15th-minute lead before Maxim Romaschenko restored parity six minutes later. Tayfut Havutçu made it 2-1 before half-time and it looked to be enough to seal victory until César struck.

Another extra-time victory
Besiktas are joined in the semi-finals by Kocaelispor. The Izmit side also needed a 'golden goal' to eliminate 1. Lig rivals Erzurumspor. Aiman Mohamed Abdelaziz was the hero, picking up on Senol Demir's mistake before lashing the ball home for the only goal of a tight game.

Shock victory
The shock of the night saw top-flight Istanbulspor AS beaten by 2. Lig Adanaspor AS. The game burst into life in the first minute when Cenk Isler put the hosts ahead with a low shot. But the minnows were level within two minutes thanks to Altan Aksoy's delicate lob. The same player scored the winning goal three minutes from time, blasting home a spot-kick after Haluk Güngör was sent off.

First team through
Denizlispor upset 1. Lig rivals Trabzonspor 1-0 on Tuesday to become the first side to make it through to the semi-finals of the Turkish Cup.
