Month's absence
The 36-year-old is expected to be sidelined for four weeks, ruling him out of Everton's UEFA Cup home game against FC Zenit St. Petersburg and the subsequent trip to AZ Alkmaar. David Moyes's team, who top Group A after wins over Larissa FC and 1. FC Nürnberg, entertain Zenit next Wednesday before visiting Alkmaar on 20 December. Centre-back Stubbs has made eight Premier League appearances this season and two in the UEFA Cup – against FC Metalist Kharkiv and Larissa.
