Two-year deal
The 32-year-old, who was recently released by AEK Athens FC, has signed a two-year contract with Temuri Ketsbaia's side, who will take on SK Rapid Wien in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League next week after completing a 3-0 aggregate victory against Armenia's FC Pyunik on Wednesday night.

'A great player'
"I am delighted with the signing of Dellas," club chairman Andreas Pantelis told uefa.com. "We agreed on the terms of his contract this morning. He is a great player who has given so much to Greek football and for us he is one of our biggest ever signings. I hope we can get his transfer papers in time for him to play against Rapid."

EURO experience
The former AS Roma central defender was part of the Greece side that triumphed at UEFA EURO 2004™, and also played in all three of Otto Rehhagel's side's games at UEFA EURO 2008™ to take his international tally to 45 appearances, with one goal scored - the winner against the Czech Republic that sent Greece to the final in Portugal.

Famous names
Dellas' UEFA EURO 2004™ team-mate Michalis Kapsis joined APOEL in 2006 but has since moved back to Greece to join Levadiakos FC. Dellas, who also played for Aris Thessaloniki FC, Sheffield United FC and AC Perugia, now joins Georgi Kinkladze, Siniša Gogić, Ilian Kiriakov, Mario Járdel and Ketsbaia himself as one of the club's most famous signings.
