Hertha BSC Berlin's German international midfielder Sebastian Deisler has confirmed he will join European champions FC Bayern München next summer.
Deisler, considered to be one of Germany's brightest talents, said on Tuesday he planned to sign a four-year contract with Bayern which would see him join the German champions on 1 July next year.
The German Football Association [DFB] said earlier it had concluded an inquiry into an alleged irregular payment from Bayern to Deisler and was not planning to take any action. German daily Bild reproduced earlier this month what it said was a cheque from Bayern's bank paying €10m to the German international.
Rules on transfers
Had it been confirmed that Bayern had paid the 21-year-old Deisler money prior to the signing of a transfer deal, Bayern would have faced a sanction for breaching German rules on transfers. Bayern said a week ago they were convinced Deisler would be coming to the club.
