Chelsea accept Grønkjær bid

Birmingham City FC have agreed a fee with Chelsea FC for Denmark winger Jesper Grønkjær.
Birmingham City FC have agreed a fee with Chelsea FC for Danish winger Jesper Grønkjær, the Premiership clubs confirmed on Friday.

Terms to be discussed
Birmingham's website said they had agreed an undisclosed fee for the player, who is with the Denmark squad at UEFA EURO 2004™. The club are in the process of agreeing terms with Grønkjær, 26, who could start for Denmark against Bulgaria in their Group C match later today.

Chelsea confirmation
Grønkjær missed the 0-0 draw with Italy on Monday after the death of his mother. Chelsea also confirmed on their website that a "substantial" fee had been agreed with Birmingham.
