Kilbane extends Everton contract

Irish winger Kevin Kilbane has agreed a new three-year deal with UEFA Champions League hopefuls Everton FC.

New contracts
The 28-year-old had a season left on his existing contract but has now put pen to paper on a deal which will keep him at Goodison Park until the summer of 2008. The left-footed player becomes the fifth member of David Moyes's squad to agree new terms, following Duncan Ferguson, Leon Osman, Gary Naysmith and David Weir.

'Exciting time'
"I'm really pleased my contract has been sorted out, I can now look forward to the next few years with Everton," Kilbane, who has made 68 league appearances since joining in 2003, told the club's website. "I have enjoyed my time here and I don't think I have relished a new season more than the one we have coming up. It's an exciting time and I am glad I can be a part of it."
