First goal
The 20-year-old Lille academy product is now committed to the 2004/05 French runners-up until June 2010. Having made his senior bow in 2003/04, last season he played five league games, scoring his first Ligue 1 goal in the derby against RC Lens.
Group stage start
Last month Fauvergue was in the France side that won the prestigious Toulon Tournament. Lille begin their second UEFA Champions League campaign in the group stage, and will discover their opponents on 25 August.
