The Belgian Under-21 international's original contract was due to expire at the end of the season, but Ajax have handed new terms to the player to keep him at the Amsterdam ArenA for three more years.
Ajax experience
De Mul, 19, made his Ajax debut in a 1-0 home win against NEC Nijmegen on 25 January 2004 and scored his only goal in a 3-2 victory at FC Twente on 15 August the same year. In all he has played 10 matches, but Ajax may loan him out this term to gain more senior experience.
