Manchester United FC have completed the signing of English international midfielder Owen Hargreaves, who joins on a four-year deal from FC Bayern München in a transfer worth €25m.

'New era'
The 26-year-old, who won four Bundesliga titles and the 2001 UEFA Champions League with the German club, completed the formalities of the move on Sunday to end a decade-long stay in Bavaria. "I am very happy Bayern gave me such an opportunity - I wish them all the best," the Canadian-born player said. "The last ten years were a dream. I set lots of targets over the last decade and I have fulfilled them. I expect that to continue. A new era is starting for me now and I hope to achieve even more. I don't have any concrete aims but you have got to win everything at United."
