UEFA Champions League newcomers Toulouse FC have added to their ranks by signing AS Saint-Etienne defender Hérita Ilunga on a four-year deal for €1.5m.

UEFA Champions League newcomers Toulouse FC have added to their ranks by capturing AS Saint-Etienne defender Hérita Ilunga on a four-year contract for €1.5m.

The 25-year-old full-back has made 135 league appearances and scored twice in four seasons with the Ligue 1 side, who finished third last season, but will now link up again with former St-Etienne coach Elie Baup. Ilunga has won seven caps for DR Congo and is the third significant signing of the summer for Toulouse after Swedish defender Jon Jönsson and French forward André-Pierre Gignac. Toulouse will look to take part in Europe's premier club competition for the first time when they enter in the third qualifying round next month.
