FC Steaua Bucuresti have maintained their recent tradition of signing foreign goalkeepers after landing Colombia custodian Robinson Zapata Montaño on a four-year contract.
The 28-year-old arrives from Corporación Nuevo Cúcuta Deportivo having been sent off on his international debut against the United States in the Copa América earlier this month. Since 2003, Steaua have deployed Belarussian Vasili Khomutovski and Carlos Alberto Fernandes from Portugal between the posts. The Romanian runners-up have signed Paweł Golański, Valentin Badoi, Adrian Neaga, Mihai Gurita, Eric Bicfalvi and Ifeanyi Emeghara as they work towards their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie against Poland's Zagłębie Lubin.
