Eugeni Savin's proposed €4m transfer from FC Amkar Perm to PFC CSKA Moskva has fallen through after CSKA failed to agree terms on the deal.

Late hitch
The 23-year-old former Russia Under-21 striker had agreed terms on a five-year contract to move to the UEFA Champions League contenders before the last-minute hitch. "Everything was agreed with the players. There was nothing else to discuss with Savin and everythying was ok," said CSKA chief executive Roman Babayev. "But as we were finalising the papers we have come across some details which are unacceptable for our club. This club tried to fulfill the transfer contract as agreed, but there are some things which we can't foresee."

Savin disappointment
Savin, who has scored three times in 20 Russian Premier-Liga games for Amkar this season, revealed his disappointment about the developments. "I dreamt about challenging for the title and making a debut in the Champions League, so it is disappointing. But I am staying at Amkar, where I am happy and where many players are like family to me. Amkar have been getting better lately and it is not out of question that I will make my European debut with this team." Amkar currently sit seventh in the standings but only three points adrift of third-placed FC Dinamo Moskva.
