Vitória SC have signed Brazilian striker Douglas de Oliveira from América FC – the club's fifth summer addition ahead of their UEFA Champions League debut in the third qualifying round.
The 22-year-old moves for an undisclosed fee – which gives the club 60 per cent of the player's economic rights – and has agreed to a three-year contract with Guimarães. "I am very happy," Douglas said. "I wanted to play here as this is a great club, has very good fans and gives me the chance to play in the Champions League. Vitória is the ideal club for me, for its greatness and importance in Portuguese football." The former Grêmio Foot-ball Porto Alegrense player follows fellow forward Jean Coral, centre-back Grégory Arnolin, midfielder Wênio and right-back José Lionn as others to be brought in by coach Manuel Cajuda for the new season.
