Juventus centre-back Giorgio Chiellini will miss Tuesday's decisive UEFA Champions League Group A fixture against FC Bayern München after a thigh injury saw him ruled out of action for several weeks.

Weekend goal
The Italian international played the 90 minutes against FC Internazionale Milano on Saturday despite the knock and scored the opening goal in a 2-1 victory. However, tests have now confirmed that the 25-year-old will need around 20 days to fully recover from the problem, with Nicola Legrottaglie likely to partner Fabio Cannavaro in his absence. Juve need to avoid defeat to advance to the knockout rounds.
