Arsenal FC midfielder Tomáš Rosický has joined a host of team-mates in signing a new contract with Arsène Wenger quick to praise the 29-year-old Czech international's "remarkable touch and vision".

Injury woes
Having joined the London club in May 2006, Rosický has featured in just 54 Premier League games after being sidelined for 18 months with a persistent hamstring injury initially sustained in early 2008. He has slowly returned to the fore this term and now follows the likes of Abou Diaby, Carlos Vela, Eduardo and Alex Song in agreeing a new deal with the Gunners. "I truly believe I have a lot left to offer the club, my team-mates and all the supporters," he said. "I believe we're on the verge of achieving something special together."

'Special talent'
Wenger was equally upbeat after tying down another of his squad. "I have spoken many times of Tomáš's class and contribution, not only on the pitch but off it as well. [His] vision and touch is remarkable. Tomáš is a special talent and we're delighted he has committed his future to Arsenal." Rosický made four appearances as Arsenal won UEFA Champions League Group H to set up a first knockout round tie against FC Porto on 17 February and 9 March.
