The Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) has confirmed that the Ukraine national team will meet Romania in a friendly match in Bucharest on 27 March.
Strongest squad
The FFU also announced that they intend to deploy their strongest possible squad for the game, including Milan AC striker Andriy Shevchenko. The countries' Under-21 sides will meet earlier on the same day as a curtain-raiser to the senior match, and Romania and Ukraine have also agreed to play a return game in Kyiv in the future.
Japan match
Ukraine have also agreed to play a friendly against Japan in Osaka on 21 March but are not expected to take their first-choice squad for the match. They are also lining up a similar tie against Georgia on 17 April.
