Ilievski plans to experiment

Nikola Ilievski has named his F.Y.R. Macedonia squad for next Wednesday's friendly in Sarajevo.

F.Y.R. Macedonia coach Nikola Ilievski has named a 23-man squad for next week's friendly international with Bosnia-Herzegovina in Sarajevo.

Two new faces
There are two new faces in Ilievski's party, Aleksandar Mitrevski from Swiss side BSC Young Boys and FK Napredak's Goce Tolevski. The new coach, this is his first game in charge of the national team, was unable to call on injured trio Gjorgi Hristov, Mile Krstev and Zarko Serafimovski.

Duo recalled
Toni Micevski and Sasa Ciric are recalled after a lengthy absence. Miroslav Djokic, the leading scorer in the Macedonian Premier League, is included along with FK Vardar midfield player Srdjan Zaharievski.

'Experiment a little'
Ilievski plans to use Wednesday's game, and the following friendly internationals with Finland and Estonia, to gauge the strength of his squad ahead of the start of the qualifying campaign for EURO 2004™ in September. "In the forthcoming games I will experiment a little with the squad in order to assess the performance of my players and find the spine of the squad for the European qualifiers," he said.
