Mulumbu has made the breakthrough with three Ligue 1 appearances and a fourth outing in the French League Cup. The defensive player said: "I have been looking forward to this day for seven years, since joining the club's academy. I would like to thank coach Guy Lacombe for putting his faith in me. But the hard work starts now." PSG drew their opening UEFA Cup group-stage game 0-0 at AFC Rapid Bucuresti and face further Group G tests against Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC, FK Mladá Boleslav and Panathinaikos FC.
