Faouzi Ghoulam, Napoli defender
It wasn't our most difficult game of the season, but it was a win that allowed us to seal top spot and took us further in this competition, while giving us confidence ahead of games to come.

It could be the year for an Italian side to win the Europa League. We're supporting all the Italian teams in the competition because we know how important it is for the coefficient ranking, having more clubs in the Champions League and the Europa League. We're in good shape and we hope to go a long way ourselves. That's what we're concentrating on above all.

Dries Mertens, Napoli midfielder
At the end of the game, Benítez told us that he had wanted us to score even more when we were 3-0 up. We could have done more than we did and we've got to work hard, but all we need to think about now is beating AC Milan on Sunday and aiming high in the league.

Duván Zapata, Napoli forward
I'm delighted to have scored for the third game in a row, but above all I'm pleased with first place. I'm always training hard and am ready to take any chance Benítez gives me. I learn a lot from Gonzalo Higuaín, who is first choice. He gives me lots of advice in training.

Rafael Benítez, Napoli coach
The Europa League is a difficult competition and it's going to get even harder now with the clubs arriving from the Champions League. We've just got to wait for the draw now, but we know it's going to be hard no matter who we're up against. It's good to be able to play the second leg at home because it's always an advantage to play in front of our own fans.

Lester Peltier, Slovan forward
It's really a great experience to play in the Europa League and we learned a lot this year, even if we didn't get through the group stage. We have a lot of young players who will benefit from this, as will I – I'd never played in a top European competition like this, so I take everything from it and learn, and next time I'm going to be better.

These teams are massive. When we played Napoli for the first time in Slovakia it was a good game and we will learn from this and, like I said, we can go into the next season with this experience. We want to return to this competition. I love the travelling and seeing all the different places and facing big teams like Napoli so I hope that we can finish in the top three and compete in this again.

Jozef Chovanec, Slovan coach
We paid the price tonight for the many injuries we've got. Right until the last minute, we didn't know who was going to be able to play against what is a really strong Napoli side.

We knew Napoli were going to be fast and we know all about Napoli's quality and their players. I spoke with Marek Hamšík after the game and asked him if he was saving his goals for us. Marek's a great player and there's no doubt about that, but it's important for a forward to score goals. I hope he can carry on doing well and rediscover the form that we know he's capable of.
