The 31-year-old striker's current deal was due to expire in 2005 but has now been extended for a further year, with an option for an additional 12 months. Rushfeldt joined the club in 2001 from Spanish side Real Racing Club Santander and has scored 41 goals in 74 matches.
Busy time
Austria, who will play in the 2004/05 UEFA Cup, have been busy since finishing second in the Bundesliga. Last week, they completed a deal to sign the 27-year-old AC Sparta Praha midfield player Libor Sionko.
