Valencia CF's injury problems continue to mount ahead of Thursday's UEFA Europa League visit to FC St Gallen with stricken goalkeeper Diego Alves the latest to join the absentee list for the Group A encounter.
Already shorn of full-backs Andrés Guardado and João Pereira for the trip to Switzerland, coach Miroslav Djukić must now plan without Brazilian international Alves who strained his right hamstring in the weekend Liga victory away to Getafe CF. The 28-year-old is expected to be sidelined for ten days. Valencia lie second in their UEFA Europa League section, one point behind leaders Swansea City AFC.
