Dream come true
"Playing abroad is something that I've always dreamed of," said Antonsson, who only signed a new two-year deal with IFK a fortnight ago. "I didn't hesitate when the chance arrived and for me it was also good that IFK got some money for me as I didn't want to leave on a Bosman."
'A great chance'
IFK director Mats Persson said: "Unfortunately he is leaving and it's always sad when a good player and person leaves the club, but we don't want to stand in his way. This is a great chance for Mikael and he deserves it. He's welcome back any time."
Regular
The 23-year old joined IFK in 1997 from Sillhövda and, after overcoming a heart problem, has been a regular in the club's defence since the 2002 season. He made his debut for Sweden in January and was a key player in the Swedish team that reach the semi-finals of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in May.
Rahmberg retires
IFK have also lost striker Marino Rahmberg, who has been forced to retire because of a chronic back injury. The striker joined IFK in 2002 from Raufoss but made only 15 appearances.
