UEFA Europa League round of 32 draw (19 & 26 February)

KICK-OFF TIMES

BSC Young Boys (SUI) v Everton FC (ENG)
Fredy Bickel, Young Boys sporting director
We are happy to have got Everton. Everton are a famous club and attractive opponents. We hope to be able to count on our fans again on 19 February in Berne and to have an atmospheric match there. We are expecting lots of English supporters as well. Maybe our players will be a bit disappointed – they sent me to Nyon with the instruction of bringing back Inter Milan – but I believe they will be happy to face Everton.

Snodin on Everton's Swiss test

Torino FC (ITA) v Athletic Club (ESP)
José María Amorrortu, Athletic sporting director
It's going to be a very attractive tie. Both clubs have great history and tradition, a history that deserves to be revived, and that makes it an attractive tie for any fan. Both teams have their own quirks. Torino have not been doing well in their league but they have been doing well in the UEFA Europa League, against difficult sides. I played both legs of the 1977 UEFA Cup final against Juventus. It's going to be great to look back over that, although I don't have good memories of the game in our stadium [Athletic won the match 2-1 but Juventus won the tie and the trophy on away goals]. It will bring an extra special meaning to the tie.

Monchi on 'difficult' Sevilla test

Sevilla FC (ESP) v VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach (GER)
André Hahn, Mönchengladbach midfielder

Of course this is not an easy draw. Sevilla are the holders, but we will do all we can to get through to the next round.

Álvaro Domínguez, Mönchengladbach defender
It is very difficult to win there. Sevilla are very hard to play against and very aggressive.

VfL Wolfsburg (GER) v Sporting Clube de Portugal (POR)
Klaus Allofs, Wolfsburg general manager
There were four teams from the Champions League in the pot and we managed to pick one of them with Sporting. This is a big challenge. Sporting are an established presence in Europe and have shown how strong they are, especially away from home

Dieter Hecking, Wolfsburg coach
Sporting are the team I was hoping for. We can go through against them but they are attractive opposition. We know them from their Champions League duels with Schalke. It's also a nice trip for our fans – Lisbon is a great city.

Diego Benaglio, Wolfsburg goalkeeper
Sporting have a good side, which they showed in the group stage against Schalke. In Nani, especially, they have a player with the quality to make a difference. Nevertheless, we have no need to hide from them if we play to the best of our abilities.

Ivica Olić, Wolfsburg striker
These will definitely be two interesting games. Sporting are coming from the Champions League so it will not be easy, but I expect us to be able to go through. I don't think it makes much difference playing at home first.

AFC Ajax (NED) v Legia Warszawa (POL)

Frank de Boer, Ajax coach
The draw could have been much worse. That does not mean I underestimate Legia, but just look at the other strong teams we could have drawn, like Dinamo Moskva, FC Zenit or Napoli.

Miroslav Radović, Legia midfielder
We will face a dangerous team but they are not beyond us. They will be two great games, I am sure. It will be very important to come back from Amsterdam with a good result and try to finish the job here in Warsaw. We have experience of playing strong Dutch teams as we met PSV in the UEFA Europa League in 2011 and both games were very equal. OK, they prevailed in Warsaw and won 3-0 but it happened mainly because of a red card to our goalkeeper. Now we are better and more experienced. Ajax have a Polish striker, Arkadiusz Milik. It will make the tie very interesting.

Aalborg BK (DEN) v Club Brugge KV (BEL)
Thomas Enevoldsen, AaB midfielder

It is a good draw. There were a lot of strong teams in that bowl and although we should have respect for Brugge, they are definitely a team we have a chance against. They are doing well this season, in their national league as well as the UEFA Europa League. When I played there [for KV Mechelen] they were a team in transition and were a bit inconsistent. I have never lost against them so I see no reason to fear them.

Smertin wary of Anderlecht threat

RSC Anderlecht (BEL) v FC Dinamo Moskva (RUS)
Besnik Hasi, Anderlecht coach

Before the draw I had only one wish and that was to avoid the Russians. Dinamo are doing very well, and with players like Vainqueur, Denisov and Dzsudzsák they have a very strong team with a budget four or five times higher then ours. We have proved before that we can handle the big teams, but Dinamo are favourites.

Stanislav Cherchesov, Dinamo Moskva coach
Anderlecht are a really good traditional team. Every year they are in league title contention so it is appropriate to talk about a champions' aura around the club. To be 3-0 down against Arsenal and end up with a draw means that Anderlecht have strong team spirit. Their squad is good too – I can pick out [Aleksandar] Mitrović, [Steven] Defour and [Silvio] Proto. Like PSV, they have a lot of young players. It will not be easy.

Karembeu on Dnipro's attacking strengths

FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk (UKR) v Olympiacos FC (GRE)
Myron Markevych, Dnipro

I think it's my third meeting with them, as I played against Olympiacos twice with Metalist Kharkiv. That was some time ago, so a lot has changed since. Olympiacos should have qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League but luck was not on their side. So we have a tough opponent, especially considering that the home leg will be our first official match of 2015. Olympiacos will have more match practice. In the winter break, our first goal is to improve in a few positions. We'll work hard on that.

Míchel, Olympiacos coach
We are satisfied with the draw, not because we think ourselves favourites, but because we have a chance to qualify. My only concern is that the team are in form when the tie comes around. Olympiacos have proved in the past that they are not affected by adverse weather conditions – anyway, it will be cold everywhere then, not just Ukraine. The fact the Ukrainian league won't restart until February will also affect the tie.

We have two months until the tie and a lot can happen. We have a 50% chance of getting through, as always. This is a very tough competition and upsets are often on the menu. We don't want to suffer one. In European competition the margin between success and failure is tiny. If we play like we did in the UEFA Champions League, we will qualify. In 1985/86, I went to Ukraine with Real Madrid and then went on to win the UEFA Cup. A nice coincidence.

Trabzonspor AŞ (TUR) v SSC Napoli (ITA)
Rafael Benítez, Napoli coach

Against Trabzonspor, we will have the opportunity to show our strength and prove we want to go a long way in the UEFA Europa League. Trabzonspor are certainly strong opponents, but there are only good teams in this phase of the UEFA Europa League so it doesn't make much difference. In Turkey, fans are very passionate. I expect a very difficult first leg and a lively atmosphere, but to play the return leg at home is always a small advantage.

EA Guingamp (FRA) v FC Dynamo Kyiv (UKR)
Bertrand Desplat, Guingamp president
Firstly, we are very happy to be here because it is a historic first for our club. And we are honestly proud to be facing one of the giants of Europe – Dynamo Kyiv are part of childhood memories even in France. Their players once made up the bulk of the USSR national team, so we have all that in mind. We also know we are facing a very strong club.

Our objective though is to get as far as possible. We know there is another mountain in front of us now and we will show a lot of respect towards the huge institution that is Dynamo Kyiv, but we have our own strengths, which are hard work and determination. We'll will see if that's enough to qualify. We certainly hope so.

Villarreal CF (ESP) v FC Salzburg (AUT)
Marcelino García, Villarreal coach

I know very little about Salzburg. Once we get closer to the tie we will start studying them. As the draw went on, there were big teams left and it could have been worse. In any case, the team you get isn't crucial – it's what you make of the situation.

The fact they aren't in one of the best leagues means they are at a slightly lower level because they don't play in a competition that demands the most of you week in, week out, but they seem to score goals very easily. We'll have to wait and see what type of form we are in when the tie comes around. The squad is very united and there is a lot of competition. We are very pleased with our performance so far this season. We have performed at a very high standard and have to try and maintain that.

Andreas Ulmer, Salzburg defender
In Villarreal we have got exciting opponents. I played them with Salzburg a couple of years ago and remember both matches well. We won twice, but today's teams have nothing to do with the ones back then. That's why we have to be well prepared.

Adi Hütter, Salzburg coach
Villarreal are sixth in the Spanish league, which for me – together with the German Bundesliga – is the best league there is. They beat Atlético de Madrid recently, so we are facing a very difficult task but one we are looking forward to. It will also be very important to perform well away from home.

AS Roma (ITA) v Feyenoord (NED)
Fred Rutten, Feyenoord coach

This is a tough draw. Roma have a good team and are second in Serie A for a reason – that says all you need to know about the strength of our opponents. In my opinion, Roma are not a typical Italian side as they are attack-minded. This match is an attractive one, but the only thing that counts for me is that we will go out to win. We play away first so we have to take care to get a good result there. That will not be easy, but on the other hand, no one expected us to win our group.

PSV Eindhoven (NED) v FC Zenit (RUS)
André Villas-Boas, Zenit coach
We have been drawn against a team with big traditions in Dutch and European football, a really strong side. But Zenit have traditions in UEFA Europa League, too. We will have our preparations going in January, after the winter holidays are over. Since the PSV first leg will be our first competitive one in 2015, only by doing our job perfectly will we be able to produce the same strength that we demonstrated over the course of the season.

Liverpool FC (ENG) v Beşiktaş JK (TUR)
Demba Ba, Beşiktaş forward

It's a difficult pairing. Liverpool are having some tough times now. They couldn't get the results they desired and things are not going well for them. But we have hard games ahead. They are a team that try to strike fast and build up the game as quickly as possible. Their technical capacity is high and they are physically strong. If we can snatch a good first-leg result, it will be an advantage playing the second leg at home.

Tottenham's greatest goals

Tottenham Hotspur FC (ENG) v ACF Fiorentina (ITA)
Vincenzo Montella, Fiorentina coach
They are tricky opponents and at the moment their position in the Premier League does not reflect the true quality of this skilful team. We must also take into account whether they will strengthen an already strong team in January, but I know my players and I know they will give their best as always.

We know how difficult it is to play in English stadiums – the atmosphere is always very hot – but our fans will give us a big hand at the Artemio Franchi. When you play in the Europa League, you have to face the best teams eventually. Perhaps the Italian sides could have been a bit more fortunate but we don't mind. Once you get to this stage, sooner or later some of the five Italian teams will end up going out. We still have to do all we can to progress, because it helps to improve the coefficient ranking for the whole of Italy.

Inter ready for 'classic' match

Celtic FC (SCO) v FC Internazionale Milano (ITA)
Ronny Deila, Celtic manager
We are meeting a big opponent but we always have a chance. I know Roberto Mancini is their manager now, they have been struggling a bit for the last year or two and aren't the team they were in 2010 when they won the Champions League. But they are a good team and it's going to be tough. Everything is possible, however, and we have everything to play for. We will have to be at our best in both games to hopefully go through. The history adds to the match.

Marco Fassone, Inter chief executive
It is certainly a classic. All Inter fans remember the European Cup final with the glorious team of the 1960s. It is a fantastic tie – there are great emotions about playing at Celtic Park. It will be fantastic. Both clubs have a strong history – both are well known not only domestically but also internationally. We will [see who are favourites] on the pitch. You shouldn't make forecasts because they always go wrong. [Playing the second leg at home] is a small advantage that UEFA give the group winners. We deserve it thanks to a very good group stage. Let's hope we can benefit from that.
