Sevilla and Spain close in on competition records

Spanish teams have won six of the last 11 editions of this competition – and a victory for Sevilla FC in Warsaw on Wednesday would set records for both club and country.

Sevilla FC have the chance to become the first team to lift the UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League for a fourth time as they take on FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in this season's final. Six of the last 11 editions of the competition have been won by Liga clubs, meaning a success for Unai Emery's side in Warsaw on Wednesday would move Spain onto nine victories – matching Italy's competition record.
