FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk have signed striker Sergei Kornilenko and midfielder Ruslan Bidnenko from FC Dynamo Kyiv after both impressed during loan spells at the Ukrainian club. No fee has been disclosed, but the transfers are part of the deal that took Dnipro midfielder Ruslan Rotan to Kiev earlier this summer.
Belarussian international Kornilenko scored seven goals in 14 games on loan at Dnipro last season and has signed a three-year contract. The 22-year-old made only nine appearances for Dynamo having joined from FC Dinamo Minsk in 2003. Meanwhile, Ukrainian international Bidnenko has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal with Dnipro, following spells with Dynamo and FC Borysfen Boryspil.
UEFA Cup challenge
As well as the departure of Rotan, Dnipro have also lost Ukraine left-back Vyacheslav Shevchuk, who moved to champions FC Shakhtar Donetsk on 30 June. Dnipro will contest the second qualifying round of the UEFA Cup after finishing fourth in the Premier League in 2004/05.
