Knee injury
The 29-year-old defender will miss the UEFA Super Cup meeting with FC Barcelona on 25 August after being told to rest before starting a two-week recovery programme on his wounded knee. Ocio was forced to pull out of training on Thursday and scans soon revealed the extent of his injury, which also rules him out of his side's Primera División opener against Levante UD on 29 August. UEFA Cup holders Sevilla start their title defence in the first round next month.
