FC Dinamo Bucuresti have appointed former Romania forward Florin Raducioiu as their new assistant coach.
The 33-year-old will also have playing duties on his return to the club where he started his career. Raducioiu played for Dinamo until 1990 before heading abroad. Aside from a brief, unhappy spell back at Dinamo in 2000, the striker also played in Italy, Spain, England, Germany and France.
World Cup glory
His many clubs included AC Milan where he won the UEFA Champions League in 1994, RCD Espanyol, West Ham United FC, VfB Stuttgart and finally AS Monaco FC, whom he represented for two years from 2000. Raducioiu, who has since been living in Monte Carlo, had a successful international career, scoring 21 goals in 40 games for Romania that included the FIFA World Cups of 1990 and 1994.
In confirming his return to Romania, Raducioiu revealed why he wanted to play again. "I cannot stay away from the pitch. I want to continue playing and the time came when I had to get some coaching experience," he said.
