Another chance for Neuville

Germany coach Jürgen Klinsmann has rested players for the friendly in Slovenia while Oliver Neuville is recalled.

Germany coach Jürgen Klinsmann has decided to rest several key players for the 26 March friendly against Slovenia in Celje.

Neuville returns
Christian Wörns, Gerald Asamoah and Fabian Ernst will be excused from international duty and will be replaced by Frank Baumann, Arne Friedrich and Robert Huth, while the Bundestrainer has handed Oliver Neuville, the VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach forward, another opportunity to impress ahead of the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Borowski favoured
Teenage striker Lukas Podolski of second division side 1. FC Köln also returns to the squad after missing last month's friendly draw with Argentina through injury, and Tim Borowski is preferred to Paul Freier.
