A nearly full-strength Poland will continue their FIFA World Cup preparations with a home friendly against Lithuania tonight.
Mila involved
A host of foreign-based players have joined the home-based talent in Paweł Janas's squad for the fixture in Belchatow. Among them is 23-year-old midfielder Sebastian Mila, who will hope to play before returning to help FK Austria Wien clinch the Austrian Bundesliga title, and 27-year-old forward Grzegorz Rasiak who has just finalised a €2.9m permanent move from Tottenham Hotspur FC to first division Southampton FC, where he will have a four-year contract.
Ganczarczyk chance
There are three notable absentees because of club commitments, namely Jacek Krzynówek of Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Celtic FC duo Artur Boruc and Maciej Żurawski. Janas will look again at the left-back position with 24-year-old FC Metalist Kharkiv defender Seweryn Ganczarczyk set for a debut while 22-year-old Korona Kielce midfielder Grzegorz Bonin may also make his first appearance.
