Srečko Katanec, Slovenia coach
It was a very important win for us. Congratulations to my players. As I said before, Lithuania are a very good team, but we played very well technically today. We've got six points, but our group is still very open. It's fantastic that the Lithuanian fans applauded us after the game.

Milivoje Novakovič, Slovenia forward
It was a difficult match. Lithuania were compact and made it tough. I'm very happy with the win and proud of the players, because these three points are important for the future and the confidence of the team. Today, we played better in attack than we did in the last matches. The attacking moves for the two goals were very good. Now we can look forward to the next match in England, where we have nothing to lose.

Fiodor Černych, Lithuania midfielder
We played even better today than in the last two matches - which we won - at least in the first 30 minutes. We did everything right - there were chances to score, but we were unlucky. After the injury to Mindaugas Panka, something changed. It's hard to explain how we conceded twice so quickly. We couldn't recover after that. Our opponents were able to sit back more and that made it hard for us.

Igoris Pankratjevas, Lithuania coach
The more experienced team were the winners today. Of course, our early substitution [losing Mindaugas Panka] had an impact on our game. We lost an important player and then conceded twice in the space of five minutes. We have got six points after three games but seven points would have been better. It was not our best game today, but we tried and I believe we can achieve something with this group of players.
