UEFA's newest member nation, Gibraltar will break more new ground in UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying Group D as they take on Georgia for the first time.

Match background
• This is the first meeting between Georgian and Gibraltarian sides at any level in UEFA competition.

• Georgia have only visited Portugal – where Gibraltar are playing their home fixtures in Group D – once before, losing 2-0 in a friendly against the home nation in May 2008.

• Gibraltar were unbeaten in two friendly games at their Group D base in Faro (W1 D1) before they lost 7-0 to Poland in their first competitive home game on 7 September.

• Georgia went into their previous Group D game, away against Scotland, having not won in 19 competitive away games (D4 L15) since a 6-0 win in the Faroe Islands in an August 2006 European qualifier.
