Deserved draw for Estonians

Estonia began their trip to the Middle East with an excellent draw against the Saudis in Dammam.

Zahovaiko equaliser
Vjatšeslav Zahovaiko was the Baltic state's goalscorer, his 40th-minute strike equalising an earlier effort from home defender Redha Tokar. It was only the second meeting of the two nations with Estonia having won the previous fixture 2-0 in March last year, a game the Saudis used as a warm-up for the FIFA World Cup finals.

Oman next
Although it was the home side who took the lead in the 28th minute, Estonia created plenty of chances of their own and it was no surprise when Zahovaiko found the net for his second goal for his country. Estonia now move on to play Oman in Boshar on Saturday.
